Our English Springer Spaniels are naturally reared in a rural setting. You may ask, "what is natural rearing?" It is an holistic approach to the care of companion animals. They are fed a natural diet, exercise outdoors a minimum of 2-1/2 hours a day and when healing intervention is necessary, alternative modalities, such as acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy and herbal remedies, are used alone or in conjunction with conventional medicine.

We feed a whole foods diet comprised of meat, vegetables, some grains, fruits, goat’s milk products and eggs supplemented with the finest human-grade vitamins and nutriceuticals. Our diet evolved from Juliette de Bairacli Levy’s book, The Complete Herbal Book for the Dog and Cat and the updated information in Wendy Volhard’s book, The Holistic Guide for a Healthy Dog.

What are the benefits of natural rearing? A longer lifespan can be expected for your pet. The diseases that plague purebred dogs – hip dysplasia, cancer, skin allergies, eye and ear infections and epilepsy – are a rare occurrence within one or two generations of natural rearing.
